Welcome to the intersection of arts and academia
Drawn to education, art-making and community development, Alexandra completed her Master of Education at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE) at the University of Toronto in Adult Education and Community Development. Alexandra grounded her research in Applied Theatre methodologies, guided by the work of Dr. Kathleen Gallagher and Dr. Tara Goldstein. Empowerment through performance is the way forward.
Under the support of Dr. Shelly-Anne Li, Alexandra is currently investigating the social determinants of health for performing artists within the city of Toronto as a patient-partner researcher, unifying her. passion for acting and skills in social science research.
The Al & Malka Green Artists’ Health Centre is a facility in the Family and Community Medicine Program at Toronto Western Hospital. Alexandra is a student at RAW Actor Studio in Toronto, under the guidance of international filmmaker, director, artist, and mentor Sophie Ann Rooney.
